We a pleased to present Avant la Nuit, one of two fragrances by emerging French perfumer Siann Gobin. Siann undertook her training at the esteemed Grasse Institute of Perfumery in France, and completed her studies with an internship with us in 2023. Siann's explorations with a strictly natural pallet led to the development of two fragrances; Avant la Nuit (between night and day) and Terre et Mer (between land and sea).


"Avant la Nuit captures a specific moment of the day; dusk. Itโ€™s a moment of plenitude and calm, when the sun sets on the day weโ€™ve just spent. Itโ€™s after a beautiful summerโ€™s day, when the sun brings its last rays of warmth. The sky is tinged with an orange-yellow hue, reflected in the sparkling cognac, spicy cinnamon and fruity notes of peach and plum. Facing us, the sun continues its eternal journey, the sky darkens and takes on a burning red tone, reflected in notes of dried fruits and tobacco. The sun caresses our skin one last time before vanishing over the horizon, leaving behind a pale pink glow that fades to make way for the stars. The summer heat softens and envelops us, like the roundness of sandalwood and amber accord." Siann Gobin

Carefully Packaged

We believe fragrance can be packaged in a way that is both beautiful and sustainably minded. Our glass perfume bottles are 100% recyclable and presented in 100% recyclable compostable paper packaging made locally. The outer packaging is an envelope hand-made in Melbourne with blind debossed detail. Each perfume comes with an information card that is letter-pressed locally, on the same luxurious FSCยฎ Certified paper stock used for the envelope.

A slow ritual to delight your senses

Application

Extrait de Parfum is traditionally applied from a dab bottleโ€”a slow and intimate ritual that leaves the perfect trace of fragrance on your skin. Create a tight seal with the neck of your perfume bottle on your inner wrist and gently tilt the bottle until the perfume meets your skin. Once the bottle is upright again, break the seal and return the cap to the bottle. You can gently dab your wrists together or dab your wrist onto the part of your body you desire to fragrance. Try not to rub the fragrance, as it will bruise, and you wonโ€™t experience the full journey of top notes. We recommend the pulse pointsโ€”the nape of the neck and inner wrists.
