The Seville orange, also known as the bitter orange, comes from Citrus × aurantium, offering the perfumer an exceptional abundance: neroli essential oil and orange blossom absolute and water from its flowers, bitter orange essential oil from its fruit, and petitgrain essential oil from its leaves and young wood. The top notes of green mandarin, Calabrian bergamot, and bitter orange are bursting with bitter, zesty citrus elegance. The ancient citrus fruit cedrat brings mouth-watering zest deep into the heart of the perfume, juicy and bitter. An exquisite neroli essential oil offers a green, metallic floral luminosity, gently enhanced by two extractions of jasmine, our own enfleurage extrait and jasmine sambac absolute. Petitgrain sur fleurs, distilled from young leaves and twigs gathered alongside the neroli blossoms, introduces a fresh, green floral note with a gentle sharpness, settling into a soft, sweet-woody undertone that bridges the citrus and floral opening with the soft, powdery musk base of ambrette absolute and beeswax absolute. The dry down is reminiscent of crisp linen sheets in the summer sun.
